They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in Canada to help architect and build new features as they scale. This is a fully remote role (within Canada), ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and is passionate about building technology that makes a real difference in education.

Full-Stack Development:
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks and cloud-based infrastructure. -
Technical Ownership:
Take end-to-end ownership of features and services—from planning and implementation to deployment and monitoring. -
Architecture & Scalability:
Contribute to architectural decisions, system design, and scalability strategies to support growing user demand. -
Code Quality & Collaboration:
Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers. -
Mentorship:
Support and mentor junior developers as the team grows, helping maintain strong engineering standards. -
Agile Practices:
Work in cross-functional squads, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous delivery and improvement.

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong proficiency in modern web development (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, or similar)

Experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure

Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases

Passion for clean code, maintainable systems, and building for long-term success

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Experience working in startup or high-growth tech environments is a plus

Bonus: Prior experience in EdTech or building accessibility-first products
