Our client, an innovative and rapidly scaling FinTech company, is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO – Engineering) to lead its global engineering function. The company is reimagining how individuals and businesses manage money, offering secure, intuitive, and data-driven solutions built for the modern financial ecosystem.
As the CTO, you’ll report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in defining the technical direction, leading a distributed engineering team, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, compliant, and user-centric FinTech products. This is a fully remote leadership opportunity with a global mandate.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
Define and execute the company’s long-term technical vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals. - Team Management:
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, globally distributed engineering teams across various time zones. - Technical Oversight:
Make key decisions on system architecture, infrastructure, scalability, and security. - Product Delivery:
Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to drive the delivery of new features, enhancements, and secure FinTech solutions. - Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure engineering practices meet regulatory and security standards across markets. - Executive Collaboration:
Work closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with broader business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior engineering leadership role—preferably in a FinTech or high-growth tech environment
- Expertise in modern tech stacks and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), with strong architectural knowledge
- Experience leading remote, globally distributed engineering teams
- Deep understanding of security, data privacy, and financial regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated success scaling platforms to support a growing global user base
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
